Seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to oversee the financial and administrative functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, improving, and utilizing effective and efficient systems and procedures, ensuring adherence to all legal and corporate governance requirements through skilled, disciplined, and motivated teams. This role is essential in maintaining their financial health and driving the strategic direction of their business through proper analysis of financial statements.The primary objective of this position is to manage the financial and administration function. Responsibilities include effective management of the debtorxe2x80x99s and creditorxe2x80x99s departments, cash resource management, month and year-end closing, tax compliance, maintenance of the business asset register, and overseeing the compilation of management accounts and financial statements. The role also involves strategic business planning, development and maintenance of financial procedures and systems, internal controls, inventory management, and team performance and development.   • Effective management of debtorxe2x80x99s and creditorxe2x80x99s departments
  • Manage cash resources including negotiating payment dates, daily bank reconciliations, and weekly petty cash reconciliations
  • Manage month and year-end closing
  • Ensure accurate tax compliance
  • Maintain the business asset register
  • Oversee and assist in compiling management accounts
  • Compile interim and annual financial statements
  • Provide strategic direction through financial statement analysis
  • Compile and manage the annual budget
  • Submit monthly, annual reports, budgets, and forecasts
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial procedures and systems
  • Ensure internal control policies and procedures align with group policies
  • Manage and monitor user access and rights on financial systems and production systems
  • Aim for unqualified audit reports and improvements on prior audits
  • Oversee inventory management controls and procedures
  • Manage and monitor the teamxe2x80x99s performance and development
Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • BCom Accounting
  • BCom Honours
Experience:
  • Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles
  • 7 xe2x80x93 8 years post article experience
  • Must have experience working in the Manufacturing industry NB!!
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Navision/Business Central will be beneficial
Skills & Competencies:
  • Aptitude for financial figures and the ability to gather, analyze, report, and interpret financial management information
  • Well-organized, accurate, and able to work under pressure
  • Driven to meet deadlines, with high levels of integrity, dependability, and professional standards
  • Good communication skills and the ability to be assertive at all levels
  • Aptitude for working with computers and financial software
  • People leadership skills and conflict management abilities
