Our client is looking for a Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting our Treasury and Regulatory Reporting functions.   • Prepare and present monthly management information for all product divisions except microfinance, including Home Loans, Business Loans, and Specialized Lending.
  • Capture transactions, post journals, and maintain amortization schedules for business and specialized lending portfolios.
  • Support operational teams by sending invoices and statements for the business and specialized lending portfolios.
  • Finalize trial balances and compile comprehensive monthly reporting packs for CFO, CEO, and other stakeholders.
  • Track and report key drivers of each division and represent finance in monthly operational meetings.
  • Coordinate budgets for the mentioned divisions in collaboration with business owners.
  • Manage external financial reporting for these divisions, including inputs for annual financial statements and regulatory returns.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit queries and deliverables with the appointed audit firm.
  • Take ownership of the Banks yearly budget and 5-year forecast process across all divisions.
  • Provide general support to the CFO, addressing ad hoc queries and preparing technical or business papers as needed.
  • Participate in finance division projects, including implementing technical accounting standards, standardizing reporting, and ensuring completeness of reporting requirements across the bank.
Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • BCom Accounting
  • BCom Accounting / CTA
  • CA(SA)
Experience:
  • Completed SAICA Articles
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the banking industry.
  • Experience with IFRS9 impairment reporting is an advantage.
  • At least 3 years of experience in management reporting, with the ability to analyse complex matters and summarize them in an executive summary format.
  • Experience with Pastel Evolution and CaseWare is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical capability, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
