Job Description
A position has become available at a fruit exporter in Stellenbosch for a Finance Manager. It is essential that you have experience from the fruit/agriculture industry.Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- BCom Accounting/Finance Degree (Articles preferred)
- At least 7 years of experience in a senior Finance position
- Agricultural or fruit industry experience preferred
- Experience with Forex transactions
- Ability to lead and manage the office
- Experience from the fruit industry
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage the company's annual budget and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, optimizing working capital and ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and investments.
- Forex: Manage foreign exchange transactions
- Financial Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal controls. Identify and mitigate financial risks, including credit risk, currency risk, and operational risk.
- Audit & Tax Management
- Team Management: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Fruit Export Specifics: Understand and manage the financial aspects unique to the fruit export industry, including seasonal cash flow fluctuations, price volatility, and logistical costs.
