Job SummaryDiversified and established group based in the Cape Winelands is searching for an adept and ambitious Finance Manager. The business in mainly involved in Commercial Agriculture, Export, Property Development, Retail, and Marketing.As Finance Manager your role would be critical in overseeing the financial operations, management reporting, and ensuring the financial health and success of a complex division and the organization. Your duties and responsibilities would encompass a wide range of tasks, including strategic planning, financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, cashflow forecasting and compliance.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional with a professional designation to join a large and established group of companies.Duties and Responsibilities:Financial reporting:

  • Compile the monthly management reports and general journals to the General Manager and Directors.
  • Gross profit summary reporting.
  • Compile cash flow forecasting.
  • Manage bank, debtors and balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure accuracy of reporting to Directors and Management.
  • Effective management of the financial system.
  • Accuracy of sales, budget and cash flow forecast.
Legislative and internal control compliance:
  • Ensure compliance to Internal Control System.
  • Ensure financial processes are followed.
Budgeting:
  • Consolidate yearly budgets projections.
  • Compile budget for approval.
  • Monitor yearly expenditure of various departments in accordance with budget.
  • Accuracy of budget
Banking:
  • Verify all bank payment.
  • Accuracy of bank payments.
  • Manage Forex transactions.
Asset & Stock Control:
  • Oversee processing of all fixed asset movements as well as depreciation.
  • Oversee reconciling of fixed asset listing to the General Ledger control accounts.
  • Control new assets purchases and financing.
  • Accuracy of asset & stock control.
Administrative Duties:
  • Assist in financial systems/controls development.
  • Manage the Group's insurance policies.
  • Update report on actual and projected sales invoice journals.
  • Oversee bank statements receipts for multiple companies.
  • Ensure accuracy with the capturing of all financial relevant information.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
  • Provide strategic financial recommendations to the senior management team.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • CA(SA), CGMA ACMA (CIMA), AGA(SA), PA(SA) or similar professional qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years' post articles experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced Excel with knowledge of financial modelling, pivot tables, finance formula etc.
  • ERP Accounting systems experience a plus.
Remuneration:
  • R720,000 to R960,000 pa cost to company, depending on experience.
