Financial Manager - western capeFull job descriptionPURPOSE:The Finance Manager leads a small team, and is responsible for meeting the management, financial accounting, and statutory requirements of the business in an efficient and ethical manner.This position reports locally to the MD but holds strategic relationships with the global BAC finance teams. As part of the local leadership team, the Finance Manager will support internal functions including manufacturing, supply chain, sales, HR and IT and is as such an on-site position.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:xc2xb7 A qualified Chartered Accountant with manufacturing experience and judgment to plan and accomplish financial goals and close out month end reporting within deadlines.xc2xb7 A minimum of 10 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a leadership role and the ability to work with a great degree of independence.xc2xb7 Possess a solid working knowledge of SA statuary reporting and tax requirements.xc2xb7 Experience in multinational / multicurrency business environmentxc2xb7 Working experience of government agencies xe2x80x93 SARS, SARB, CIPC, Statistics South Africaxc2xb7 Contract interrogation and negotiations xe2x80x93 customers, suppliers, labour, insurance, and financiers.xc2xb7 Developing and management of BEE strategiesxc2xb7 Budgeting and forecasting xe2x80x93 annual, quarterly and weekly cash forecastsxc2xb7 Demonstrated expertise in Office 365 applications & ERP finance modules,xc2xb7 Financial statement analysisxc2xb7 Experience with developing and monitoring financial KPIxe2x80x99s.NATURE & SCOPE:The Finance manager will report to the Managing Director and support BAC South African operation. The position will have interactions with all levels of the local organization and with BACxe2x80x99s EMEIA head office in Belgium, and our global head office in the US.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:xc2xb7 Serve as final point of escalation for accounts receivable and payable issues.xc2xb7 Submission of monthly statutory returns requirements.xc2xb7 Review, approve and implement internal controls to reduce risks within the organizationxc2xb7 Lead continuous improvement and problem-solving activities to support teamwork.xc2xb7 Lead and finalize annual audit process and prepare financial statements according to reporting frameworksxc2xb7 Preparation of monthly reporting packs and performance reports against the budget and long-term strategy xe2x80x93 multi currency and US GAAP (D+4)xc2xb7 Annual budget and future financial strategy preparation with management team, followed by presentation to the Leadership Team.xc2xb7 Capital expenditure xe2x80x93 planning, negotiations of price and terms, and expenditurexc2xb7 Monthly calculation of salary provisions, bonus payouts and sales commission.xc2xb7 Recruit, train, and develop finance team members. Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviewsWORKING CONDITIONS:Due to the close cooperation with the management team and operations, this position requires the Finance manager to work on-site at our premises in Philippi.
