The Financial Reporting Manager is a management role, responsible for managing the analysis and preparation of several financial reports and ensures the distribution and presentation of this information to the relevant stakeholders.
The Manager, Financial Reporting reviews prepared month-end and year-end reports, including statutory quarterly and fiscal reports, management accounting packs, profitability analysis and variance reports.
This role analyses relevant financial information to ensure that detailed explanations are presented, particularly for variances from the financial forecast and performs financial preparation and analysis for new business proposals whilst fostering a collaborate and innovative culture across their team.
What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities:
Manages the analysis and preparation of several financial reports.
Ensures the distribution and presentation of this information to the relevant stakeholders.
Reviews prepared financial reports, including statutory quarter and fiscal reports, management accounting packs, profitability analysis and variance reports.
Analyses information to ensure that detailed explanations are presented, particular for variances from the financial forecast, budget.
Manages and oversees compliance efforts with the preparation, review, submission and distribution of financial reports required by governmental and regulatory agencies.
Ensures timely preparation and reviews and monthly and quarterly balance sheet statements, and related materials required by investor relations and internal management.
Implements formal processes for obtaining and analysing information gathered from internal business units for financial report preparation.
Liaises with auditors (external and internal) as part of the financial reporting processes.
Contributes to the development and maintenance of supporting documents for all financial reports and evaluate it for various departments and committees.
Implements internal financial controls for integration of closing process and financial activities of company.
Contribute to the development of financial models, prepares forecasts and reporting tools to identify business opportunities, risk and ensure performance better.
Analyses all financial reports and assists in improvement and execution process.
Coordinates with various departments and prepare recurring financial reporting packages.
Ensures the provision of work assignments and activities across the team focused on achievement on operational excellence.
Drafts and delivers disclosure, technical memos and other supporting financial documentation.
Protects the integrity of the company reporting process by producing and maintaining correct and up-to-date financial statements and data.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting.
CA/CIMA qualification will be an advantage.
Required Experience:
The role requires a minimum 7 years working experiences in financial reporting.
Proven expertise as a Financial Reporting Analyst with substantial experience in creating financial reports.
Advanced skills in planning, controlling, and managing departmental expense and capital budgets.
Extensive experience in leadership, including managing teams, motivating staff, and directing their work effectively.
Proficient in developing, analyzing, and reviewing complex financial reports.
Hands-on expertise with financial reporting software.
Strong professional background in accounting and financial management.
In-depth knowledge of financial reporting and analysis models, as well as relevant frameworks.
