Experience in a similar role within a practice environment will be required
An understanding of UK Financial Reporting Standards will be advantageous
Good working knowledge of Excel is essential
Must have up to date knowledge of changes to basic tax legislation as required
Knowledge of IRIS and MyWorkpapers will be ideal
Must have experience in working within a team, but also be able to work independently as this is a hybrid role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Undertaking day-to-day communications with clients to obtain the necessary information and resolve queries on a timely basis.
Preparing period end financial statements for medium sized companies, consolidated financial statements and LLPs using the firms preferred software applications with minimal review points arising.
Preparing business tax computations including adjustments for enhanced expenditure, loans to participators.
Assisting junior team members with the completion of period end assignments that form part of the consolidated financial statements.
Working to a timetable agreed by the audit team.
Ensuring regular communication of progress to the audit team to ensure both internal and external deliverables are met.
Ensuring confidentiality of sensitive data.
Developing knowledge through selection of relevant CPD.
Acting in accordance with the business values and competency framework.
Applying regulatory, legal, professional and ethical standards relating to engagements.
