Job Description
This opportunity is a call for an industrious, self-motivated Financial and Stock Accountant to join a manufacturing team based in Johannesburg Central.You will oversee the full accounting and stock functions of the group, and assist the Financial Manager where necessary.Your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of monthly local and foreign bank reconciliations
- Reviewing and releasing payments
- Reconciliation of FAR on a monthly basis
- Driving and controlling asset verification and complete verification report
- Reviewing reconciliations
- Clearing the purchase accounts
- Reviewing age analysis
- Preparing monthly VAT submissions
- Liaison with SARS
- Driving the clearing out of aging items with branches to manage inventory levels with the aid of the Financial Manager
- Obtaining monthly branch checklists for review
- Reviewing and updating Inventory item prices
- Assisting with internal and external audit
- Monthly payroll journals
- BCom degree in Accounting / Finance
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role essential
- Stock and warehouse industry experience essential
- Accpac experience non-negotiable
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Financial acumen
- Hands on approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Deadline driven
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Own transport as travel will be required
