An opportunity as arising for a Supervisor across both the Finishing and Customer Service department and will require the skills of a highly organized individual to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of these two areas as well as the teams therein.Key Responsibilities:As the Supervisor across both departments, you will manage daily tasks and make sure the team meets deadlines. You will guide and support team members, solve problems, and ensure everyone follows company rules. Your job includes training new staff, evaluating performance, and improving work processes. In addition, you will also be expected to communicate with all relevant stakeholders, including the Manufacturing Director, Production Manager, Technical Manager, HR Manager, Supervisors and employees. Leading by example and creating a positive work environment are key to the teams success.In addition, specific department responsibilities will include:Customer services:Overseeing the Customer Services department procedures and ensuring all repairs are done as per company standards and within company timelines.Ensure that the product quality standards are maintained.Responsible for all incoming factory works orders (FWO) to be captured and sent to the Customer Services department.Ensure all repairs leave the factory within 24 hours.Full management of stock takes as directed by your manager and the auditors.Oversee all washing, scratching and assembling of units.Oversee the packing of units, printing of barcodes and labels.Continuous communication with Warehouse staffAssist Support Centre employees with queries from customers if required, making sure any issues with the product are communicated with Support Center for communication to the customer.Deal with outside stakeholders, Distribution and Customer Service teams at Support CenterFinishing:Overseeing the manufacturing of visiotherms, spot welding, stud welding and packing of goods to transfer to Warehouse.Balancing of quality and quantity of products to be manufactured as per production requirements and to company standards.Meeting daily / monthly targetsOrdering of consumables/ stock from the StoresControl of consumables used and maintaining quality materials from suppliers in conjunction with the Production ManagerEnsure that all employees are adequately trained for the tasks they have to perform.Full management of stock takes in your department as directed by your manager as well as stock movements into and out of the department.Issuing of department specific PPEOverseeing that machines are set in accordance with company standards and are kept in a safe working condition.Continuous communication with Maintenance department regarding tooling and machine issues as it arises.Qualifications:Grade 12 or equivalent qualification essentialAccredited basic Supervisory course (advantageous)Accredited basic customer services course (advantageous)Experience:Knowledge of customer services principlesKnowledge of assembly of products (advantageous)3 - 5 years logistics / technical experience3 - 5 years experience in a supervisory role managing small teams across multiple departments.Sound Administrative and multitasking skills.Experience overseeing and conducting disciplinary processes.The candidate:Good verbal and written communication skillsGood planning and organizing skills.Ability to delegate work and give instruction.TeamworkBeing flexible in the work environmentProblem solvingAnalytical thinkingCoaching/ Staff developmentOpenness to personal growth and continuous learningMust be computer literate.This position may require the incumbent to work overtime from time to time if required.Please note that the salary advertised is a Cost to Company figure, therefore includes basic and benefits.Job Type: Full-timePay: R27 000,00 - R34 000,00 per monthAbility to commute/relocate:Atlantis, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Application Question(s):Where do you currently live?Education:High School (matric) (Required)Experience:supervisory role managing small teams: 3 years (Preferred)
