Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Fire Engineer to join our client's team in KwaZulu-Natal. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining fire safety systems, ensuring buildings are safe and compliant with fire safety regulations.Key Responsibilities:

• Design Fire Systems: Design fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and other safety features for buildings.
• Compliance: Ensure fire systems meet local fire safety codes and regulations.
• Risk Assessments: Evaluate fire risks in buildings and recommend safety improvements.
• Project Oversight: Manage fire safety projects from start to finish, keeping on schedule and within budget.
• Teamwork: Work with architects, builders, and other engineers to integrate fire safety systems.
• Inspections & Maintenance: Regularly check and test fire safety systems to ensure they are working properly.
• Training: Provide fire safety training to staff and building occupants.
• Emergency Plans: Develop and implement fire safety plans and evacuation procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education: Degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in fire engineering or a related field.
• Certification: Fire safety certification (e.g., NFPA or local fire safety standards) is a plus.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of fire safety systems and building codes.
• Skills: Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Software: Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software is a bonus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to conduct site inspections, including working in different environments like heights or tight spaces.
