Job Summary Candidate Requirements:

Grade 12 essential
Must have a relevant tourism degree or diploma
A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position is essential
A minimum of 5 years in FIT essential
Broadly traveled in Africa candidate essential
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience selling in African safaris with a proven track record of successful sales
Must be proficient in TourPlan, ResRequest, Waybird or similar
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Must have knowledge of African destinations, wildlife, cultures, and current travel trends
Must have strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Must have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks is essential
Will need to be able to design and sell personalized safari itineraries that cater to the needs and interests of clients
Will need to research, evaluate, and select appropriate suppliers such as hotels, lodges, camps, and transport providers
Must be able to plan and coordinate complex bookings including flights, visas, and travel insurance
Must be able to provide expert advice to clients on African destinations
Must collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and business goals
Must maintain accurate records of sales, payments, and other related documentation
