ELXV is a luxury off-road caravan manufacturer. We are looking for a hardworking, ambitious and positive team player to join us. This is a full-time on-site role for a Fitment Technician in the South of Johannesburg. The Fitment Technician will
be responsible for installing and fitting various components to our caravan
models. The role includes mechanical work, electrical installations, and
bodywork.

Ideal qualities:

Technical Skills

: Proficiency in using tools and equipment specific to caravan fitment, such as drills, saws, and measuring devices.

Mechanical Knowledge:

Understanding of caravan components and systems, including electrical, plumbing, and structural elements.

Attention to Detail:

Ability to follow instructions accurately and ensure that all fittings are installed correctly and securely.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Capability to identify and resolve issues that arise during fitment processes.

Time Management:

Efficiently manage time to complete fitment tasks according to schedules and deadlines.

Teamwork:

Collaborate with colleagues, including designers, engineers, and other technicians, to achieve fitment objectives.

Physical Fitness:

Capability to handle the physical demands of the job, such as lifting and carrying heavy items.

Safety Awareness:

Adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Customer Focus:

Ability to understand and meet customer requirements and expectations.

Adaptability:

Willingness to learn and adapt to new fitment techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

Experience in automotive maintenance and repairs is advantageous Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment Knowledge of suspension systems, brake systems, and auto-electrics Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and drawings Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team Excellent communication skills Relevant qualification and/or minimum of 5 years' experience Experience within the caravan industry is advantageous
