Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Assembly: Assemble and install mechanical components, piping, and steel structures according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production machinery, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical equipment.
- Fabrication & Welding: Cut, shape, and weld metal parts as required for assembly and repairs.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed following health and safety regulations, including proper use of tools, PPE, and adherence to plant safety procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, machine operators, and maintenance teams to optimize machinery performance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and part replacements.
- Trade certification as a Fitter.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Fitter in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience in welding and fabrication is a plus.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work shifts
