Fleet ControllerOur client, in the Logistics sector is seeking a dedicated and dependable Fleet Controller, who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join their team. The primary focus of this position is to play a pivotal role in executing customer plans seamlessly.As a Fleet Controller, you will be responsible for coordinating with transport expeditors, communicating with drivers and customers, and ensuring the efficient execution of planned volumes.This position will suit a self xe2x80x93 driven individual, with excellent communications skills both verbal and written, is able to think on their feet and to remain calm under pressure.Location: Gqeberha/Port ElizabethJob type: On-siteDuties and Responsibilities
- Receive and execute the volume plans provided by customer planners.
- Collaborate with transporter expeditors to ensure an adequate fleet is available for planned volumes
- Utilize transport plans to facilitate the execution of work.
- Coordinate with transport expeditors to optimize fleet deployment.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and customers to relay information and updates.
- Address any issues or changes promptly to ensure smooth operations.
- Track trucks throughout their shifts, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Monitor progress and address deviations from the plan as needed.
- Matric
- 2 Years experience in a similar position
- Ability to works shifts including weekends
