Fleet Controller/Manager - Cato RidgeFull job description**:**As a Fleet Controller/Manager at Chartered Freight Warehousing, you will be responsible for overseeing our fleet of trucks and ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our transportation services. Your primary duties will include managing drivers, scheduling maintenance, optimizing routes, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.**Key Responsibilities:**- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fleet, including scheduling, dispatching, and tracking of trucks and drivers.- Ensure all trucks are properly maintained and serviced in a timely manner.- Develop and implement efficient routing and scheduling plans to optimize delivery times and reduce fuel consumption.- Monitor driver performance and provide training and support as needed.- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.- Manage budgets and control costs related to fleet operations.- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics and warehousing operations.- Handle any issues or emergencies that arise with the fleet.**Qualifications:**- Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a similar role within the trucking or logistics industry.- Strong knowledge of fleet management and transportation regulations.- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.- Strong leadership and team management abilities.- Proficiency in fleet management software and tools.- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work under pressure and handle unexpected situations effectively.- Valid driverxe2x80x99s license; CDL preferred but not required.**How to Apply:**If you are a dedicated and experienced Fleet Manager looking for a new opportunity with a reputable company, we would love to hear from you.
