Description:Transport company is seeking an Operations Controller. This position is based in Port Elizabeth.Overview:You will manage the deliveries of import/export containers while liaising between clients, loading/offloading points, shipping lines and Port Elizabeth ports.Duties include:
- Manage the day-to-day transport service requirements.
- Daily vehicle routing and scheduling.
- Ensure highest possible customer service levels.
- Ensure that the fleet is in a roadworthy condition and conforms to Company policy.
- Effective supervision and management of drivers in terms of discipline, timekeeping and attendance.
- Managing the POD process.
- Own transport.
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Previous Fleet controlling experience.
- Transport Management or similar qualification will be an added advantage.
- Basic Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel and Microsoft Office).
- Working knowledge of vehicle tracking systems.
