Our Client in the Montague Gardens (Cape Town) area, is seeking the skills of FLEXI FORKLIFT DRIVERS, to start, immediatelyThe Company operates a world class ingredient milling and blending service to the entire Cape Town The Company also services thousands of customers including, independent butchers, major retail chain stores, meat processing factories and poultry factories.Please do note, that we need to fill these openings (ASAP). All interested applicants - that meets these specific requirements should forward an updated CV, with references and supporting documents on to our service desk, immediately.Kindly note - should you not receive a response to your application within one week please view your application as unsuccessful.Purpose of the Position - Loading and offloading stock within company standards.Task & ResponsibilitiesKPAs and responsibilities would include, but may not be limited to:Receiving Stockxc2xb7 Offloading of stock received from trucks with forklift and moving to receiving IShold area (Receiving area).xc2xb7 Move stock into the bulk bin locations in Warehouse after Receiving Checker has checked (must be labelled pallet label).Despatch Stockxc2xb7 Pick Face replenish despatch clerk gives FL Driver a Pick Face report to move bulk stock into picking (a hard copy which provides pallet numbers and bin locations). Scanner will locate the stock and he will move it physically and on scanner (i.e. moving stock from one location to another)Despatch clerk will hand FL Driver bulk picking ordersxc2xb7 Picking number is entered into scanner and he moves stock from warehouse into Despatch for despatch Checker to check (per invoice)xc2xb7 Order is signed off with the Checker or he signs the invoice once he has checked and leaves it with the order for the despatch Checker to check.Forklift maintenance

• Check sheet is followed to ensure the condition and maintenance of forklift is monitored and reported on. Start of each shift check sheet is followed and completed and reports handed to supervisor. i.e. Battery water, damages; cleanliness etc.

Stock Take & GeneralAssist the warehouse with stock takes as required.

• Given a report of stock in specific locations, this stock is checked against the list and reported on.
• Either a hard copy or a scanner depending on type of stock take (i.e. cyclical counts or quarterly stock takes).
• Despatched goods loading onto trucks.
• Ad-hoc duties and standing in for team as an when required

Health and safety

• Health and Safety requirements are followed as per company standards.

• Forklift licenses
• Preferably Matric
• Preferably NQF4 or equivalent
• Experience in a similar role in FMCG
• Understanding of the production functions and processes & how these, work together
• Computer Literacy

• Numerical skills
