Will oversee the daily operations of the Food and Beverage Department. You will have the responsibility to develop, innovate and deliver a product mix which is quality driven whilst maintaining aggressive financial returns. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent service quality, controlling stock, maintaining health and safety standards, and driving financial goals. The Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for budgeting, implementing Food and Beverage procedures, organizing events, and building strong relationships with guests, staff and the community. This will be driven by ensuring that all working methods are reviewed, and best practice is achieved so we in turn can grow our business whilst delivering excellent guest service.
Key Requirements:
Proven Food and Beverage management experience within a 4/5 start hotel (5 years)
Matric
Hotel management diploma or equivalent
Valid RSA driver`s license
Strong command of English and good financial understanding
Customer service driven with outstanding communication and active listening skills with members of staff as well as Guests of the Hotel.
Directly supervises and manages the business activity of the Hotel
Great attention to detail, drive excellence in customer service, food and beverage quality and overall customer satisfaction
Oversee the restaurant operations, financial management, including budgeting, cost control and financial reporting.
Drive sales growth and manage costs effectively, while maintaining high operational standards by implementing policies and procedures.
Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses, maximized profits
Experience with stock control and POS, stock and PMS systems
Experience in banqueting and conferencing, managing multiple venues
Strong organizational, time management, and reporting skills
Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently, a team player who leads by example.
Lead and motivate service team, implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance service quality and efficiency.
Huge emphasis on staff training and development
Hands -on problem solving approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Ability to manage shifts
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to cope under pressure
