Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Food Science, Food Technology, or related field preferred
HACCP, ISO 9001, BRCGS, SQF, FSMA, GFSI, Lead Auditor Certification, FSSC
Five years' experience in a similar role in the food manufacturing industry with high quality standards and operating within documented Quality Systems
Minimum 5 years' experience in Technical Operation, Quality, Food Safety, Auditing

Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and Maintain Programs:
Manage daily food safety management requirements of the facility, including the training, development, and performance of the factory personnel
Ensure the implementation and application of the appropriate policies, procedures, test methods (including HACCP, GLP, GMP and H&S) to achieve and maintain third party and customer standards
To drive activities related to resolving the Non-conformances to support the reduction of Inventory costs
To support the manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering and QA Teams by providing feedback on factors adversely affecting product quality and investigating the root cause of these issues
Decision making involved in pass, fail and concession of materials as dictated by the business needs, whilst applying the appropriate standards of integrity
Manage the internal/external sampling and testing of materials in accordance with test plans
Assist with coordinating lab proficiency testing programs to ensure efficacy of methods and competency of Technologists to conduct routine testing
Understand and be able to apply effective zoning and effective environmental monitoring for early detection on bridge of GMP practices. Participation as an Internal Auditor, conducting, reporting, and closing out internal FSQ audits to ensure compliance to the Food Safety and Quality programs. Participation in external audits
Understand and apply the principle of Hygienic engineering
Create and sustain Food Safety and QMS aligned with corporate food safety standards
Facilitates and coordinates all internal training for food safety and work instructions for operations
Assist with Food Safety related customer complaints investigation and inputs thereof corrective and preventative actions required, lead and partake in RCA related to Food Safety Complaints
HACCP Coordination:
Developing and maintaining Food Safety and Quality Management programs in line with Corporate Food Safety and certification (BRCGS, GMP, R638, ISO9001), Halal, Kosher, requirements, and others
Ensure implementation and maintenance of the HACCP System. Knowledge of HACCP methodology. Participate as the HACCP team leader and coordinator for the facility
Continuously improve standards set by facilitating and executing Problem Solving/PSG activity within the area
Check that standards set within the area are adhered to through layered confirmation
Analyse & report on Quality Performance Metrics through analysis of Performance Data, identify performance gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities
Ensure that factory-based Quality audits are carried out to verify compliance against defined standards and codes of practice
The implementation of these programs across the organization
Coordination of internal, third party and customer audits
Food Safety awareness creation by training and information campaigns
Supplier & External Manufacturer qualification related to FSQR
Quality Performance Metrics:
Analyse and report on Quality Performance Metrics through data analysis
Identify performance gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities
CIP & Cleaning program validations and Improvements implementation
Audits and Compliance:
Conduct factory-based quality audits to verify compliance against defined standards and codes of practice
Coordinate internal, third-party, and customer audits
Supplier and External Manufacturer Qualification
Qualify suppliers and external manufacturers related to FSQR
Participation as an Internal Auditor, conducting, reporting, and closing out internal FSQ audits to ensure compliance to the Food Safety and Quality programs. Participation in external audits
To actively participate and support the Continuous Improvement Team in achieving business goals and objectives
