Salary: Industry Related, depending on experiencePlease note: The salaries offered by our clients are determined in accordance with market standards, while considering the candidate's qualifications, skills, and level of experience.Opportunity at our client for a Food Scientist to join their firm in Magaliesburg, Gauteng area on a permanent baseMinimum requirements:
- BSC Agriculture Animal Science and / or Food Science
- 1-5 years working experience within the same or similar role (Product development, meat industry)Duties will include but is not limited to:
Product Development:
- Create new products for the worldwide market to allow company to expand it's export footprint
- Continues new product formulation, development and processing
- New product development ideas
- Identify new manufacturing procedures
- Determine cost-effective methods of producing
- Assist with the quality control of products
- Assist to enhance product quality and shelve life
- Design new food processing policies
- Monitor food safety protocols and design quality assurance policies
- Assist with best procurement of raw materials
- Predict food quantities and repost estimates
