Essence of the job:Overseeing of the management and maintenance of all tyres on site with the least disruption to the site. Attempt to achieve maximum availability for each item of plant on site.Qualification:Grade 12.Relevant certified tyre industry training (Certificates to be submitted).Mechanical Trade certificationValid driver's license.Computer literate (Microsoft Office).Minimum Requirements:At least eight years related work experience (other jobs that prepared you for this job).Identify and ensure all tyre workshop issues are addressed satisfactorily, proactively and timely.Identify and nurture prospective future foremen/supervisors.Be innovative and seek out opportunities for continual improvement.Ensure all required paperwork and reporting is completed on time and accurately - disciplined.Ensure good staff and supplier relationships.Customer relationships.Audit tyre performance and prepare reports as required by management.Ensure stock levels are maintained, and tyre production orders are placed in time.Make recommendations on tyre use and operational issues related to tyres in order to improve tyre life and reduce costs.Manage Tyre Bay staff leave to ensure continuous safe operations.Relieve Tyre Bay Foreman when they are on leave.Monthly on-site tyre audit to cover:Tyre record keeping (TMS), Torque register, Tyre related downtime (AMT), Wheel rim register, Daily tyre inflation registers, Scrap tyre registerEnsure housekeeping standards are maintained.Safety standards and Training control and implementation - safe working practices.Tool audits with register control.Ensure all tyre bay staff is trained and certified before allowed to do any work.Monthly TKPH studies are completed to ensure tyres are operated within specifications.Analyse SSS reports and make recommendations to improve conditions.Ensure Tyre Step 18 is in place and complied with.The candidate will carry a 292 appointmentThe candidate must ensure all legal documents are visible, completed and traceableThe candidate must establish and maintain tyre assembly quality checks and processesThe candidate must ensure correct levels of tyre stock is maintained through good planning practices on new and repair tyres - control reporting essential.Manage support equipmentEnsure proper services and maintenance on support equipment.Supervise support maintenance team.Manage safe use and understand rim management, components and consumables at site level.
