Key Responsibilities and Duties includes but not limited to:
Conduct comprehensive forensic investigations into allegations of fraud, corruption, and financial misconduct.
Analyse and interpret complex financial data to identify discrepancies and patterns of fraudulent activity.
Prepare detailed investigation reports, including findings, evidence, and recommendations.
Collaborate with clients, legal professionals, and law enforcement agencies to gather and analyse evidence.
Conduct interviews and take statements from witnesses and suspects.
Assist legal teams in preparing cases for litigation, including the provision of expert witness testimony as and when required.
Develop and implement strategies to prevent and detect fraud within client organisations.
Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in forensic investigation and fraud prevention.
Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes):
BCom, LLB, or Bachelor of Policing degree.
Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Forensic Practitioner South Africa (FP)SA designation.
4 to 6 years of experience in forensic investigations, preferably within a legal or corporate environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in forensic investigation software and tools.
High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong ethical standards and integrity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel as required.
Admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, Chartered Accountant South Africa [CA(SA)] or Certified Internal Auditor will be an added advantage.
Proficiency with Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and being tech-savvy.
