This role requires a strong understanding of medical and forensic sciences, as well as the ability to provide expert testimony in legal settings.Core Responsibilities

• Perform autopsies to establish the cause and manner of death.
• Collect and analyze evidence, including bodily fluids and tissues.
• Prepare detailed and accurate autopsy reports.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and legal professionals during investigations.
• Provide expert testimony in court regarding findings.
• Stay updated on advancements in forensic pathology and related fields.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Medical degree MBChB.
• Specialization in forensic pathology.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with legal processes and court proceedings is advantageous.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage sensitive situations.
• Ability to Work is conducted in a laboratory and autopsy facility environment.
