Job Description
We are recruiting for a Forester in the Eastern Cape. This position is responsible for the daily execution of field activities to ensure that operations are executed in a cohesive manner, reaching targets on time, on budget and meeting quality standards. The Forester has specific compartments with specific staff teams of responsibility. This position reports to the Project Manager.
- A bachelors degree in forestry, agriculture or conservation or proven experience in lieu of a bachelors degree
- 5+ years experience
- Proven experience managing large teams of unskilled and semi-skilled workers
- Willingness to work in difficult and remote areas rain or shine
- Driving license, with off road driving experience and clean driving record
- Mapping and GIS skills, a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Word and Excel
