Eastern Cape, Port ElizabethMonthly Cost To Company (Market related)Foundry Supervisor - Port Elizabeth, ECOur client in the automotive component manufacturing industry is currently looking to employ a Foundry Supervisor based in Port Elizabeth.A wonderful career opportunity awaits you.Requirements:

• A tertiary qualification in Quality / Production field.
• Successfully completion of Supervision Program.
• Trade certificate or relevant trade will be beneficial.
• At least 10 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in foundry manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as a Supervisor.
• Knowledge of control plans, SPC and FMEA.
• Working with Problem Solving Methodology (Six sigma, 5 whyxe2x80x99s and 8D).
• Energy management, Project Management and optimization of plant equipment.
• Analytic and innovative and fosters constructive teamwork.
• Computer literacy essential.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Strategically evaluate current state of business and align the Foundry Management Team to move to true world class manufacturing status.
• Drive the Foundry Management team to achieve daily set targets in line with the company and department goals and objectives as agreed upon between Senior management.
• Responsible for summarizing, analysing and generating downtime reports of all shifts OEE sheets, taking correct actions and/or escalating to service departments should target not be achieved.
• Instill and improve disciplinary practices within the Foundry
• Improve communication in the department and with other departments.
• Play an active role in the daily management meetings and problem solving.
• Explore and incorporate artificial intelligence within the Foundry processes and incorporate machine learning principles.
• Play an active role in the live cycle management of casting equipment and dies & understand the process of Dimensional control.
• Analysis Data from Scada, Halden, Clarity, Data prophet and all systems that are in place.
• Active involvement in the process of core design, recommending good Engineering design practices in order that core life is extended. Early core failures must be investigated and analysed.
• Maintain budgeted manning levels for the Foundry.
