Consult is a registered Financial Service Provider (FSP), holding a FSB Category FSP I and II license. Consult dispenses financial planning, product advice, product execution and investments management services to individuals and businesses in the high net worth, affluent, retail upper and small business enterprises (SMEs) market.Consult is a Registered Financial Advice firm (RFA), allowing us to offer our clients product solutions of all of the major life, health, saving, investments, short term and employee benefits providers in South Africa. We have contract with 122 product providers in total.Consult is one of South Africas largest and most respected financial planning and advice specialists with a national footprint of 280 financial advisers, including 50 specialist short term advisers, spanning across South Africa. We subscribe to the principles of treating our customers fairly and in doing so, offer our clients industry leading solutions.
Role PurposeThe purpose of the Franchise Development Manager role is to attract, acquire and grow Momentum Consult financial advisory Franchises within the region whilst building, maintaining and expand relationships with channel stakeholders in order to increase new business opportunities, support the delivery of a client experience and to enhance and promote an advice philosophy , by , developing and retaining /planner Key Outputs.
Requirements

  • Completed a qualification related to financial planning (min 120 credits NQF6) (essential)
  • Certified Financial Planner (preferred)
  • CFP (Advantageous)
  • Hold both RE1 and RE5 (essential)
  • 5-8 years experience in corporate business development/corporate client service, or marketing within a financial services environment
  • Experience in franchise sales (preferred)
  • Experience in banks with oversight of financial advisors(preferred)
  • Understand the broker market
  • Understand financial planning environment and practice management
  • Must be able to do presentations
  • Qualified Key individual (essential)
Additional requirements
  • Drivers Licence and own transport essential
  • Able to travel
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Relationship Management : Engage with Franchises in a client Centric Manner
  • Act as a connection between Momentum Consult Head Office and Franchises: Build close relationships with franchises;
  • Assist in Contributing to the Momentum Consults value proposition and advice philosophy.
  • Growth Enabler by delivering client and Franchise Value Proposition
  • Financial Planning & Advice
  • Provide technical support, investment marketing and specialist support in the field in order to promote and grow investment, savings and wealth management propositions
  • Franchise Practice Management: Implement tactics to develop and maximize the franchise practice management through sound financial planning and advice.and our own Business lab offering
  • Ensure efficient and effective practices through financial planning and advice strategy.
  • Vesting a new Franchise through systems training, compliance monitoring and good business practice enablement
  • Governance and Monitoring
  • Ensures compliance training and regular audits in conjunction with advice and license specialist
  • Ensures Risk management and Compliance processes are adhered to
  • Investigate reported willful acts of non-compliance to organisation policy and practice and report on findings.
