About us: Briefly News is one of the biggest news and entertainment platforms in South Africa. Briefly News is a partner of LEGIT company, a media holding operating in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana, with projects like , nd .Briefly News requires the services of freelance writers in:
- Johannesburg
- Pretoria
- Mpumalanga
- North West
- Cape Town
- Pitch 2 to 3 stories, in line with the Briefly News content strategy, per week ( must be interview-based, have exclusive comments, original photos or be covered on scene/ at the event)
- Ability to churn out articles in perfect English
- Market-related rates per article, comment, photo or interview
- Friendly working environment
- Degree or Diploma in journalism/media studies or related field
- A strong portfolio showcasing experience/ MuckRack profile
- Live in the area of coverage
- Proven industry contact base
- At least 3 years of experience in journalism and writing
- Impeccable communication and interviewing skills, both written and verbal
- Self-driven individual with a strong desire to constantly learn and adapt
- Work under minimal supervision
- Ability to work remotely (good internet connection and a laptop, minimum Intel Core i3).
