Time Type: Full TimeMain Purpose of The Role:Communication with clients, airlines, and all relevant departments.Airline reservations - bookings and rate negotiations.Completion of all export / import documents as prescribed by relevant local and international authorities.Minimum RequirementsMinimum of 5 experience as export controller in Perishable Airfreight exports and / or imports.Excellent understanding of industry and related job requirements for Freight Forwarding.Geographical knowledge and familiar with airline routes and capabilities.Strong persuasive and organizational skills.Ability to liase effectively with clients and airlines, both telephonically and via e-mail.Detail orientated and ability to work under pressure.Ability to lead.Duties and responsibilitiesProcessing / issuing of all export documentation: AWB, SAD, Phytosanitary certificate, PPECB, COO's, etc.Airline bookings as per rate agreementsLiaising with clients via e-mail, and telephonicallyMaintaining of bookings listsDaily tracking of shipmentsUpdating clients on status of shipmentsDaily shipment / warehouse planningLiaising with warehouse regarding deliveries / collectionsSARS acquittalsSkills/CompetenciesStrong communication and relationship building skills, both verbally and written.Ownership and self-motivation, to ensure any challenge is addressed immediately and resolved as soon possible.Having all round understanding of the airfreight function to ensure solutions can be provided in a timely manner.Ability to work under pressure.Positive outlook and team playerResults, quality and detail driven.Self-confident and resilient.QualificationsMatric - EssentialComputer packagesExcellent knowledge on Excel/ Word/ Windows/ Office/ OutlookCompetent knowledge on CargoWise1 / ShipShape competentDisclaimer: Due to the high volume of applications received, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
