Front of House Manager - Cape TownFull job descriptionA diverse group of companies with interests in a number of activities including Telecommunications, Utility Management, and Property Management is looking for a Senior Front of House Manager that will work across 3 retirement villages to lead the front of house teams.The successful incumbent will be overseeing the food front of house managers in these villages as well as their subordinates, ensuring that training is done, best practice is followed and ensuring that food service meets the highest quality standardsDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO:Monitor, manage and review the service in the front of house at all 3 villagesEnsure the Food Service Manager coordinates their staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional front of house servicesImplement operational working procedures, to support the delivery of service excellenceStrong analysis of service delivery and identify continuous improvementsResolve any complaints in service delivery with Food Service ManagerRelieve Food Services Manager when they are on leaveEnsure Meal and Refreshment service is as per procedureEnsure that Food Service Managers and their subordinates set up for mealtime serviceEnsure that the Food Service Managers perform their daily checks, set up of the clubhouse and that they host events as per procedureStaff Management:Conduct probation evaluations and performance evaluations of direct reportsCreate and manage staff rosters of direct reportsEnsure staff training and development plans are managed, implemented, and administered.Monitor and ensure staffing levels are correctREQUIREMENTSTertiary qualification in Hospitality advantageousClear health recordClear criminal recordClear credit recordContactable referencesValid driverxe2x80x99s licenseOwn reliable transportation with the ability to travel and relieve when neededExperience:Proven experience in hospitality of at least 3 yearsExcellent knowledge of serving etiquetteBasic wine knowledgeExperiences with management at multiple sites advantageousExperience in training & skill developmentSkills and attributes:Skilled in managing multiple sites of catering and food servicesComputer proficiencyExcellent leadership and decision-making skillsExcellent organisational and time management skillHas a strong ability and willingness to train, mentor, manage and continually improve the kitchen teamComprehensive knowledge of current leading culinary trendsWorks with passion, pride and ambitionHighly motivated, energeticAble to work as part of a teamAbility to implement and manage proceduresExcellent physical condition and staminaAbility to support and motivate the service teamAbility to MultitaskJob Type: Full-timePay: Up to R30 000,00 per month
