• Become a master of fruit: Develop the best growth strategy for each crop in each field, maximizing yield and quality.
• Water & feed like a pro: Manage fertigation and irrigation based on specific crop and field needs.
• Lead the team: Plan, delegate, and monitor your crew to ensure tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
• Resourceful and reliable: Procure all materials and equipment needed for uninterrupted operations.
• Keep it running smoothly: Establish and implement maintenance plans to ensure equipment is always in top condition.
• Nurture with precision: Plan, adjust, and monitor husbandry strategies based on plant growth.
• Decide what to grow: Determine the optimal cropping system for each day and each crop.
• Climate control maestro: Manage tunnel operations and adjust ventilation based on strategic plans for each crop.
• Pest prevention: Monitor fields and develop targeted spray programs to minimize pest issues.
• Think outside the box: Procure services from other departments to achieve specific deadlines and goals.
• Embrace the natural way: Implement biological control measures for pests and diseases.
• Pollination perfection: Develop, implement, and monitor an effective pollination strategy for each field.
• Keep it tidy: Develop and maintain a neat and organized field environment.

Who you are:

• Hold a B.Sc/M.Sc in Agriculture/Horticulture or a relevant diploma/degree.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience growing soft fruit or in fruit production (bonus points for young and energetic individuals!).
• Possess strong literacy, numeracy, and computer skills, with excellent report writing abilities.
• Communicate effectively and have a knack for clear and concise instruction.
• Think analytically and enjoy problem-solving.
• Hold a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
