Our client, an international exporter of fresh produce, is looking for a commercially minded individual with a combination of well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, to join their team based in Somerset West (Western Cape). The role will be mainly focused on marketing and sales in the Middle- & Far East. Responsibilities will include: *Procuring and sourcing of fruit *Building and maintaining relationships with both growers and customers *Determining market needs *Marketing fruit internationally and exploiting potential opportunities to grow the client base *Calculating and negotiating prices *Providing input to, and liaising with, relevant stakeholders throughout the supply chain *Identifying and managing risks *Tracking results and suggesting corrective action *Ongoing reporting to relevant parties *all other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: A relevant tertiary qualification; Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role; Previous experience in the pome fruit/table grape/citrus/berry industries; Willingness to travel locally and internationally; Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
