Job Description
FTC 6 Months Mine Safety Officer (Comsoc 1&2 + SAMTRAC), North West, Rneg
- Grade 12 or equivalent;
- Comsoc 1 and 2 or SAMTRAC essential;
- Computer literate (Word and Excel);
- Diploma or Degree in Risk Management will be an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years experience;
- Experience in investigations and reporting;
- Safety training experience;
- Maintain SHERQ system for the business unit;
- Enforce compliance as per MHS Act requirements;
- Incident investigation;
- Maintain and review processes and procedure according to ISO standards;
- Audit, report findings and implement corrective actions;
- Perform Risk Assessments;
- Audit compliance of sub-contractors;
- Advise Plant Manager on related SHERQ issues;
- Act as proxy for the company;
- Training, change and people management.
- Manage required safety documentation near miss, HIRA books etc
