An opportunity has become available for a Fuel Connect Account Specialist in the Gauteng or Durban area
Purpose of the position:
The
Fuel Connect Account Specialist
is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with existing Fuel Connect clients. Reporting to the
Head of Growth
, this role involves engaging with fuel retailers to ensure optimal use of Fuel Connect solutions while identifying opportunities to cross-sell additional modules. The Account Specialist will work closely with internal teams to provide seamless client support, resolve queries efficiently, and maintain accurate data.
Key duties and responsibilities - but not limited
Client Relationship Management and Cross-Selling:
Manage and nurture relationships with existing Fuel Connect clients.
Handle queries related to the
Master Fuel POS module
and other Fuel Connect solutions.
Present and promote all
Fuel Connect modules
, driving cross-selling opportunities:

Cash Flow Management
+
ATG (Automatic Tank Gauging)
+
Point of Sale (POS)
+
Card Integration
+
Supplier Payments
+
Cash Management
Collaboration and Lead Management:
Work closely with key internal teams to resolve client issues and facilitate lead handovers:

Deployment Manager
for onboarding and implementation support.
+
Technical Team
for troubleshooting and system integrations.
+
Fuel Specialist
for operational insights and recommendations.
+
Masterfuel Support Staff
for any technical requirements from a POS perspective.
Client Visits and Ongoing Support:
Conduct
regular on-site visits
to all clients within the assigned territory to strengthen relationships.
Provide
telephonic support
to assist clients with any operational concerns.
Data Management, CRM Updates, and Quality Assurance:
Continuously review and update site data
during client interactions to ensure accuracy.
Maintain and verify internal records
, including:
+ Client contact information and key decision-makers.
+ Site performance metrics and histories.
+ Account details within the customer module.
Capture all relevant client data on the internal CRM platform
to ensure that all relevant staff are continuously informed of updates or changes to client profiles, activities, and status.
Ensure all records are current and compliant with company standards to support accurate reporting and effective client management.
Qualifications:
Experience in
client relationship management
, preferably within the fuel or fintech industry.
Knowledge of
fuel retail operations
and
POS solutions
is an advantage.
