Looking to move from finance into the exciting world of real estate asset management?Our client, a leading REIT, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Analyst to join their dynamic office. You will be supporting the senior analysts as well as the Fund Manager of a nationally focused portfolio which spans all manner of real estate assets, forming part of the busy team which ensure this significant, multi-billion-rand fund remains a top performing investment option.
Assisting in the analysing of both group and individual property performance, this role will take responsibility collectively with the asset managers and team for preparing key findings within your portfolio as well as the group. Other responsibilities include preparing and investigating a wide range of property statistics, vacancies, variations, tenant collections & trading densities. You will also assist with shareholder reporting.Due to the highly analytical and investigative nature of this role, your proficiency in Microsoft Office - particularly Excel - is essential, whilst experience with MDA software would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will be a holder of a BCom Finance/Economics/Property studies degree and will possess a keen ability to question the numbers, display a high degree of attention to detail, and have the ability to work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines. Confident verbal communication skills are key as you will collaborate with the asset managers whose objectives may not always align with your own.
