Role PurposeCurate Investments is a new asset management firm with a range of local and global unit trust funds. The role of the Fund Specialist will be to drive sales and brand awareness, maintaining and increasing net flows into the local and global (both hard currency and local rand denominated funds) Curate funds. This role requires a high degree of professionalism, self-management, integrity, and drive, with a strong focus on delivering results and promoting the firms values.Please be advised that there are 2 positions available, one based in Cape Town and the other in Durban.
Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Investment
  • CFA (with any levels or all 3) or equivalent investment background
  • 5 years' experience in Collective Investments environment
  • Experience in Unit Trust specialisation
  • Exceptional engagement and negotiation skills
  • Investment markets experience
  • Based in Cape Town and Durban
Duties & ResponsibilitiesGrowth and retention of assets:
  • Develop strategies to maintain positive net flows and mitigate the impact of redemptions.
  • Implement distribution strategies to enhance net flows through internal and external advice channels.
  • Provide support to Momentum Distribution Services (MDS), where appropriate, to drive additional sales into funds through their clients.
  • Develop and execute strategies to bolster support with Discretionary Fund Managers (DFMs) and multi-managers.
Sales and Brand Promotion:
  • Develop and implement unique strategies to enhance brand visibility and support of clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to craft compelling messaging and promotional materials.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, seminars, and other public forums.
  • Collaborate with industry partners and clients to drive awareness of brand in unique areas.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Drive client service delivery to align with predefined standards, ensuring exceptional pre- and after-sales service.
  • Show care at every client touchpoint to deliver an outstanding client experience.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
  • Host and manage client meetings and events.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on industry and regional trends to contribute to strategic planning.

  • Provide feedback to the business on market developments and trends to continually improve service offerings.
