Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen in one of the leaders in the manufacturing of animal feed in South Africa; A world player and the first choice in animal feeds for pigs, sheep, poultry, dairy and beef cattle.PLANT ENGINEERThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Oversee installation, repair, and upkeep of the feed factories (Mechanical, Electrical and Civil).
- Compile and manage maintenance budgets and capital expenditure.
- Lead and mentor a multi-disciplined maintenance team from a diverse background.
- Manage and improve the computerized maintenance management system (Pragma).
- Conduct employee performance reviews in line with Company policies.
- Initiate and participate in engineering improvement projects.
- Participate in management and departmental meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labour legislation with specific emphasis on the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- The candidate must be a graduated or certificated Engineer: Mechanical or Electrical with GCC.
- Minimum of three years experience in a manufacturing environment with specific emphasis on asset management.
- Experience in the Feed Industry and Knowledge of the PRAGMA maintenance management system will be an advantage.
- Registration with the ECSA is preferred.
- The candidate must be willing to relocate.
