General Engineering Superintendent (GES) - Aggeneys, Northern CapeFull job descriptionIntroductionThis position will be based at the Gamsberg site close to Aggeneys in the Northern Cape.DescriptionThe purpose of this position is to maintain plant systems and equipment according to instrumentation and technical requirements.Duties & Responsibilities:Set Engineering targets according to Production and Engineering requirementsIntegrate and co-ordinate Engineering and technical maintenance plansDeploy Engineering teams to ensure repair and maintenance to maximize Engineering running hoursInvestigate, diagnose problems and breakdowns to determine resource requirements and order spares according to Company proceduresPerform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations and analyse breakdownsSupervise subordinates in their daily activities to ensure maintenance according to organisational standards and the maintenance requirementsContinuously analyse equipment efficiencies and recommend or implement improvements and changes to maximise running hoursCommunicate equipment information and changes to internal stakeholders to minimise production delaysDetermine work schedules in conjunction with other Engineering / Process teams to ensure availability and optimise utilization of equipment to the relevant section and consult with production teams on maintenance activities that affect productionEnsure availability during standby duties according to scheduleQualification Requirements:Grade 12 and Section 13 or section 26D trade certificateN6 National Diploma in EngineeringExperience & Skills Requirements:Minimum 8 years experience as an Engineering SupervisorRelevant Planned Maintenance system trainingEnglish language proficiencyTime management skillsEmployee Relations trainingSupervisory management trainingFinance for non-financial managers trainingComputer literate in MS OfficeValid drivers licence code B, EB or C1Own transport to attend to call outs Report job
