PURPOSE
This position exists to ensure the maintenance and repair of all plant equipment, infrastructure and implementing engineering projects to improve operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Contract Management
Interprets, implement, and manage the contract.
Liaise with client representative regarding overall plant performance.
Communication with the client and management suggesting repairs and site improvements.
SHEQ Management
Implement the FAMP health and safety policy in accordance with client requirements and company requirements.
Manage and implement MHSA procedures, policies, and standards.
Plant Maintenance
Analysing data for all plants and investigating barriers to effective quality performance, causes of delays and deviations and ensuring mitigating plans are prepared and implemented.
Develop maintenance procedures, methods, and standards.
Ensures that own/client's assets are maintained in a safe working condition.
Ensures that maintenance is managed cost-effectively.
Implement and maintain a preventive maintenance program to reduce downtime and maximize equipment availability.
Ensuring work is planned, scheduled, executed and monitored in accordance to the Engineering objectives and standards.
Inspecting critical jobs to verify the work is performed correctly and safely.
Manage critical spares and stock account.
Technical support for repair methods for installed equipment and ratables - expert in diagnosing faults and repairing equipment.
Ensure RCA's (Root Cause Analysis) are being done in line with RCA guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12/ Matric
N4 or equivalent engineering qualification
Trade Test MQA/MERSETA preferred.
Accredited Supervisory or Management qualification added advantage
EXPERIENCE
3 years Supervisor or Foreman experience in the Plant Processing, Crushing and Screening industry.
2-3 years experience as an artisan, engineering foreman GES
