20 years relevant experience in the Construction Industry
Strong trade knowledge ranging from structure to finishes
Relevant qualification in the built environment or trade certification
Must be familiar with industry best practices, quality assurance and OHS.
Assertive Management skills in managing subcontractors, site labour & resources effectively
Be able to maintain a clean, safe site
Must be able to manage a team of foremen and supervisory staff
Set out from plans to the mm
Work to tight programmes and still effectively manage waste, resources and materials.
Be able to Liaise with clients and professional team
Valid Drivers licence
Job DutiesSupervisory and Leadership Duties * Supervise Staff: Oversee foremen, craft workers, and laborers, ensuring they are performing their tasks efficiently and safely.
Coordinate Activities: Plan and schedule work activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Training: Provide training and mentorship to workers, ensuring they understand their tasks and adhere to safety standards.
Discipline: Enforce disciplinary actions when necessary, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
Project Management * Plan Projects: Assist in the planning and organization of projects, including setting timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Resource Management: Ensure that all necessary materials, tools, and equipment are available and in good working order.
Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work performed, ensuring it meets project specifications and standards.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the job site.
Communication and Coordination * Liaison: Act as a point of contact between management, clients, and workers, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on project progress, resource utilization, and any issues encountered.
Meetings: Conduct regular meetings with project stakeholders to provide updates and discuss any concerns or changes.
Safety and Compliance * Safety Protocols: Enforce safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate any potential safety hazards.
Compliance: Ensure that all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
