Job Summary My client, a mid-sized construction company in Cape Town, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Site Foreman to oversee projects valued between R10 million and R150 million in the Cape Town area. The projects encompass a range of sectors, including high-end residential, commercial new builds, refurbishments, and additions, with a focus on delivering exceptional finishes and meeting tight deadlines. The company operates in various sectors, including education, healthcare, government, and private development Main job function To excel in this role, you must possess the technical expertise and supervisory skills to manage the construction process from start to finish, ensuring exceptional quality and attention to detail in all aspects, including concrete, brickwork, earthworks, setting out, and finishes. The ability to simultaneously oversee multiple smaller sites will be highly advantageous. As General Site Foreman, you will report directly to the Site Agent or Contracts Manager, working closely with them to deliver projects to the highest standards. Assertive Management skills in managing subcontractors, site labour & resources effectively Be able to maintain a clean, safe site Must be able to manage a team of foremen and supervisory staff Set out from plans to the mm Work to tight programmes and still effectively manage waste, resources and materials. Be able to Liaise with clients and professional team Qualifications/ Criteria 20 years relevant experience in the Construction Industry Strong trade knowledge ranging from structure to finishes Relevant qualification in the built environment or trade certification Must be familiar with industry best practices, quality assurance and OHS.
