Job Title: General Foreman - Mining IndustryLocation: Gauteng Province (GP)Job Type: Full-time, PermanentRPO Recruitment's client is seeking a highly skilled General Foreman to join their mining team in Gauteng Province. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of mining crew members, ensuring that all work is completed safely and efficiently. The General Foreman will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, monitoring production levels, and reporting on performance metrics to management.Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of mining crew members.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures at all times.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper maintenance schedules are followed.
• Monitor production levels and make adjustments as needed to meet targets.
• Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify potential hazards and address them promptly.
• Report on performance metrics to management and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Train and mentor new crew members to ensure they are working effectively and safely.

Requirements:

• Relevant Trade Test Certificate (Fitter/Boilermaker/Electrical)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the mining industry.
• 5 years of experience as a General Foreman or in a related supervisory role
• Knowledge of mining operations and safety procedures.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physically fit and able to work in challenging environments.
