South African-based inbound DMC is looking for confident, ambitious, and experienced individuals to help it grow its market share in the North American market. Relevant experience and a proven network in their chosen outbound destination(s) / market(s) and from operating within a successful inbound DMC in Africa essential!TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Available for travel to North America, trade shows worldwide, and in Africa.What The Role EntailsYou will be tasked with managing the teams, developing new and current relations with the North American luxury travel trade, and creating a dynamic structure to ensure a world-class customer experience for each prospective client, from the point of enquiry through to the clients safe return home that results in the company consistently achieving its sales and gross profit targets and that brand-builds for future success.You will be involved in the creation and execution of the budgeting, finances, and sales strategy of the business, ensuring agreed targets and objectives are achieved, guiding and managing a growing sales and concierge team, liaising & working closely with other departments in the business to optimize processes, provide customer feedback and improve product development as well as report to the CEO on your teams performance.Key Experience/Characteristics:

  • Extensive product knowledge of Southern and East Africa
  • 5 years+ of management experience in the travel and safari industry (or related)
  • Financial literacy
  • Trade/agent sales relationships
  • Exceptional personal network in the target market
  • Travelyst experience
  • International client exposure
  • Obsessed with quality and customer service and exceeding expectations
  • Good presentation, facilitation, and excellent administrative skills
  • Ability to work under high-pressure
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a high-performance sales and operations team
  • Ability to adapt to a changing trade and environment easily
  • Eager to represent the company in trade shows and sales trips to the targeted market
  • Constantly thinking of the bigger picture and how to simplify and streamline interdepartmental
  • processes and relationships (process improvement)
  • Can hit the ground running and deliver successful results
