This role requires a strategic leader who can manage daily operations, drive business growth, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a deep understanding of food and beverage service, and a flair for creating a vibrant atmosphere that attracts and retains customers.Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the cafe deli and jazz lounge, ensuring smooth and efficient service across all departments, including kitchen, front of house, and bar.
• Staff Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, and manage staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training to enhance team skills.
• Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to increase revenue and control costs. Ensure all financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Customer Experience: Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring all guests have a memorable experience. Handle customer feedback and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Menu Development and Innovation: Collaborate with the Head Chef and bar team to develop and update menus, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients while considering customer preferences and current food trends.
• Event Planning and Coordination: Plan and execute events and live jazz performances, coordinating with musicians and promotional teams to create a lively and engaging atmosphere.
• Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Manage inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies. Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are met, including compliance with local regulations and food safety protocols.
• Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the cafe deli and jazz lounge, including social media, local advertising, and partnerships with local businesses and influencers.
• Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and regular customers to enhance the cafe's reputation and drive business growth.

• Proven experience as a General Manager, Assistant Manager, or in a similar leadership role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience in event planning and execution, particularly in a live entertainment setting.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and trends.
• Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelors degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience managing a cafe, deli, or restaurant with a focus on live music or entertainment.
• Knowledge of local health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
• Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and social media management.
• Passion for jazz music and an understanding of the local music scene.
