Minimum Requirements

• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree and/or National Diploma in relevant field
• Extensive knowledge of aviation/air cargo handling activities
• Minimum 10 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a senior leadership / Executive
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods advantageous
• Air Cargo Security knowledge

Duties will include:

• Provide leadership and guidance to the employees
• New business opportunities to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the business
• Identify potential new airline customers
• Regular contact with management team
• Regular contact with local customer airline management
• Liaise with local airport authority, SA Customs and government bodies
• Plan, organize and manage headcount
• Coach, lead, mentor, and develop the senior management team
• Workforce Optimisation Manager, Facility & GSE Manager, and Finance Executive
• Leadership and guidance to the employee complement
• Oversee all business management activities at the airfreight cargo terminals in South Africa
• Optimize resource and materials management and productivity analysis
• Ensure KPIxe2x80x99s are monitored by operational management and targets are achieved
• Drive Continuous Improvement and Performance Excellence in line with the Companyxe2x80x99s global strategy
• Ensure that safe and healthy working environments
• Develop revenue and expense budgets
• Manage impacts on budget and costs to drive profitability, and assume P&L responsibility for the
• Company, ensuring that expenses are managed in line with revenue and budget
• Lead commercial, marketing, and sales efforts to secure new customers
• Develop business strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and service delivery in the cargo terminals
