Our client who is a leading private hospital group specializing in acute care and offering a wide range of specialist-oriented, multidisciplinary hospital services is looking for a General Manager: ICT. They are looking for a vibrant and innovative individual to manage large-scale enterprise application software packages as well as opportunities to lead digital transformational and innovative initiatives within the company. Broaden the leadership of ICT function at divisions, as well as actively supporting the divisional CIO with the daily ICT operations and projects and contributing to the realisation of the Group ICT strategy.Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the research, development, and execution of the Business Systems Strategy, including the architecture, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of all systems within the designated portfolio to meet business requirements.
• Lead and manage the ICT divisionxe2x80x99s planning and budgeting activities.
• Identify, prioritize, and manage the demand for ICT services from the business.
• Coordinate and oversee the portfolio of ICT projects that support current business operations.
• Explore and implement ICT synergies across the Group to optimize resources and capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with Group ICT standards and policies, maintaining transparency and adherence.
• Address Group-level ICT responsibilities as assigned periodically.
• Provide leadership and management to direct reports within the team.

Non-Negotiables

• BSc Informatics, BSc Computer Science, BCom Information Systems or similar B- degree.
• At least 10 years in managing an ICT team/unit and a team of technical specialists.

Minimum Requirements

• Strong understanding of healthcare industry operations.
• In-depth knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proven experience in budget management, strategic development, and deployment across various service delivery models, including operational delivery, shared services, and centers of expertise.
• Contract Negotiation and Management.
• Expertise in infrastructure governance, encompassing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), vendor management, and personnel management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ICT architectures, including hardware platforms, networking, software applications, and integration capabilities, with the ability to translate these into practical business solutions.
• Extensive experience in Project and Portfolio Management.
• Proficient in risk management, including ICT governance and cybersecurity.
• Skilled in setting business objectives and strategies.
• Proficient in enterprise project and change management, including steering committee involvement.
