Hire Resolve's client is currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated General Manager to join their mining team in the North-West. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing mining operations, providing strategic leadership, and ensuring the achievement of operational goals and targets.Responsibilities:

• Develop systems to achieve strategic goals, eliminating non-value-adding practices.
• Ensure understanding and embedding of core practices to protect and build structures and excellence areas.
• Optimize integration of systems by researching and developing new practices.
• Champion product value and quality, protecting resources like cash flow, assets, core competencies, morale, reputation, technologies, and systems.
• Lead operations to meet national standards, involving risk analysis, scenario planning, benchmarking, and best practices.
• Prepare and approve reports demonstrating compliance with various factors (mining, economic, legal, environmental, social).
• Ensure compliance with national and international reporting codes and standards.
• Oversee on-site mine development projects.
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure compliance with MPRADA 2002 (amended).
• Advise on appropriate strategies for operations.
• Ensure services and competencies for optimal functioning of reports.
• Monitor operations against global performance benchmarks.
• Lead organizational change, including structures, information systems, processes, and culture.
• Introduce and integrate governance for optimization and improvement.
• Collaborate on production and profitability objectives.
• Support strategic fund and resource allocation for healthy budget ratios.
• Decide on the Mining Function's budget allocation according to financial principles and procedures.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Degree/National Higher Diploma in Mining Engineering.
• Management Development Programme or Equivalent
• Blasting Certificate (preferably underground)
• Mine Manager's Certificate Of Competency.
• 15 years' experience in an underground mine.
• 8-10 years' experience in a similar role (Management).
• In-depth knowledge of mining operations and processes
• Proven track record of achieving operational targets and managing large-scale projects

Benefits

• Salary: R2.8M/yr - R3.5M/yr, salary negotiable
