Job Description
A well-established retail shop that has been trading for over 50 years selling paint, industrial coatings and related hardware and applicators based in Pietermaritzburg KZN is seeking an experienced, dynamic General Manager to join their organization.Requirements:
- Experience in the coating industry
- B-Com in business management or equivalent experience
- Experience with managing a going-concern for at least 5 years
- Good understanding of industry applications and products
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lead from the front and be able to communicate effectively with the shareholders, customers and suppliers
- A warm, calm and friendly manner
- Customer orientated
Calm demeanour with the ability to de-escalate situations, handle complaints, handle misunderstandings etc * Problem solvingAnalytical thinking
Good time management and follow-up skills
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to manage a teamKey Duties:
- Overseeing all aspects of the business function including liaising with the management and supervisors
- Maintaining a strong team relationship with all staff
- Maintaining strong relationship with suppliers
- Maintaining customer satisfaction
- New business development
- Prepare reports for Share holders
