We are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead a team within an independent used car dealership, specializing in high-quality, high-volume vehicle sales. This dealership forms part of a large motor group, which has franchised and non-franchised dealerships in their stable.Key Responsibilities
Oversee all operations, ensuring the dealership's success in both sales and customer satisfaction
Lead and mentor a dedicated sales team to drive performance and meet ambitious targets
Manage the acquisition, pricing, and valuation of vehicles to ensure profitability
Stay informed on local market trends and pricing to maintain a competitive edge
Develop and implement effective business strategies to increase sales and dealership growth
Ensure smooth operational processes across departments, from sales to aftersales supportJob Requirements
Matric Certificate
Valid Driver's License
Proven experience in a General Manager role or similar leadership position within the used car industry - at least 3 years in Management
Working knowledge of motor dealership DMS - Kerridge/Drive/Autoline/CDK etc.
Extensive knowledge of local vehicle pricing, valuations, and buying processes
Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset
A solid, provable track record of delivering results in a high-volume dealership environment - Comm. sheets required
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and drive performance
Have a stable work history
