JOB TITLE: General Sales ManagerAREA: LanglaagteINDUSTRY: Board ManufacturingSalary / CTC: R 50 000 - R 75 000 (depending on current earnings, qualifications and experience)Report to: General ManagerJob Summary:The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing and driving the sales team to achieve the company's revenue goals with specific focus on exclusive and value-added products and processes. This role involves not only leading a team of sales manager and sales representatives but also implementing effective sales processes and analysing sales data to inform strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of sales methodologies, and exceptional analytical abilities to optimise sales performance.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and develop individual and team skills.
  • Foster a positive and high-performance sales culture.
  • Use technical expertise to provide in-depth product knowledge and training to the sales team.
Sales Strategy & Planning:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and processes to drive growth and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align sales strategies with overall company goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales tactics.
Analytical & Reporting:
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Utilise CRM and other tools to track sales performance and ensure accurate reporting.
Process Implementation & Optimization:
  • Design and implement efficient sales processes and procedures.
  • Ensure that sales representatives adhere to company policies and standards.
  • Continuously review and improve sales processes to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilise data-driven approaches to monitor and optimise sales workflows.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure that the sales team delivers excellent customer service.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is a plus.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a sales management role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in managing a sales team and implementing sales processes.
  • Experience with sales into the SADC Region will be an added benefit.
Skills:
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in sales data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to implement and refine sales processes effectively.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
