Job Description


A well-established Luxury Dealership, is seeking to employ a General Sales Manager with motorcycle sales experience and at least 5 xe2x80x93 10 years selling experience to join their team in Cape TownThe main purpose of this role is to take responsibility for achieving the sales and revenue goals for new and used bikes - acting as an energetic role model to the team, a passionate brand advocate and a senior retailer representative. Your leadership will ensure customers enjoy positive, memorable experiences whenever they visit your site or interact with your sales team. You will also oversee sales processes, activities, and target setting, as well as initiating marketing activities and taking care of operational managementRequirements:

  • Senior Certificate xe2x80x93 Grade 12
  • Tertiary Qualification - Management/Leadership/Business Qualification would be preferred and will be an advantage
  • Previous experience as a Sales Manager within the automotive industry, would be preferable
  • Motorcycles Sales Experience preferable but not essential
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience preferred
  • Proven sales management experience in the automotive industry, underpinned by at least some business/management training
  • Computer literate
  • Budgeting Essential and experience with Social Media platforms
  • A motorcycle license is essential
  • Leadership and performance management experience
  • A track record of developing staff
  • Strong customer focus

  • Relationship-building skills
Duties will include, but not limited to:
  • Achieving Sales Targets: The primary goal is to consistently meet or exceed sales targets for company and accessories.
  • Team Leadership: Motivate, coach, and develop the sales team, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Customer Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, both existing and potential, to foster loyalty and drive repeat business.
  • Sales Processes: Oversee and optimize the sales process to ensure efficient and effective sales operations.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay current with market trends, competitor activity, and company product offerings.
  • Financial Services: Promote and manage retail financing and insurance sales to increase profitability
  • Marketing: Support marketing initiatives and campaigns to drive sales and build brand awareness.
  • Dealer Relations: Manage relationships with company dealers, especially regarding Commercial Financing and sales operations
